Medical assistants work closely with patients in both clinical and administrative roles. Demonstrating empathy and compassion helps put patients at ease and creates a positive experience.


Dependability

MAs must be reliable and detail-oriented, ensuring accurate and confidential handling of patient information such as medical history and lab work.


Adaptability

The role requires handling a variety of tasks and patients daily. Responsibilities may include taking vital signs, performing lab work, assisting with non-invasive procedures, or general patient care. MAs should be able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.


Problem-Solving Skills

While supported by other medical professionals, MAs must independently handle challenges as they arise, solving problems quickly and efficiently.
