The Medical Assistant Accelerated Pathway to Employment Training (MAAPET) project is a fulltime program that consists of: 8 hrs. per day, 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday for 10 weeks of classroom and lab instruction, in addition trainees will be expected to study and complete at least 10 hrs. of homework outside of this time frame. Classroom training is followed by 4 weeks of full time clinical / practicum training. For a total of 14 weeks of training, upon completion, trainees must sit for and pass the National Health Association Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam.
